KETO (Amended)

I’m sure we have all heard of the Ketogenic diet, right? Known simply as KETO, many people are studying up on this way of eating and are seeing results that they are proud of. Read more about the Ketogenic diet here.

Many have adopted it as a new way of life. Yet others have considered it as something that they’d rather not get into. For me, however, I’m not a huge “diet” person. I’ve tried 30-day cleanses, 10-day flushes, Cabbage Soup, Lemonade Detox, No Sugar, No Wheat, No Dairy, and more. At the end of them all, I was re-evaluating my life with a bowl of ice-cream (YUM).

Well, after being schooled on the KETO diet and considering my track record with diets and such, I came up with the KATO diet. The KATO diet is nothing more than an Amended KETO diet! Get it? KETO: KATO? Amended? Ok, let’s move on.

After declaring my newly found eating plan, I was excited to move forward on my path to dietary victory!

But there was a problem. The KETO diet has many resources such as recipes and food communities to help you along your KETO way. There are meal plans, recommended grocery lists and more.

What does the KATO diet offer? An excuse not to follow the KETO diet.

Let’s switch subjects now. Think about Salvation. When you are born again (John 3), you enter into a family of Jesus Christ believers who share in the gift of salvation. In this family, you gain resources for living a life that is holy and righteous and pleases God.

The problem comes in when you try to amend your salvation. You make every excuse not to follow the plan that has been laid out for you as a believer in Jesus Christ.

You make every excuse not to be loving. You make every excuse not to pray or read God’s word. You make every excuse not to study the word of God. You make every excuse not to fellowship with other believers or even share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

You only want to be saved your way. An amended version of salvation.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an amended version of salvation just as there is no such thing as a KETO Amended diet. You have to make a decision on whether or not you are going to follow God and do exactly as He commands so that you will be blessed.

By being on the KETO diet (as some have told me) you will experience challenges as you begin. But as you stay consistent with it, you learn how to manage it and make it apart of your life.

It’s no different with salvation. Once you get saved, you experience challenges because you have to get rid of the old nature and walk as a new creature. But as you stay consistent in your walk with Christ, the Holy Ghost will lead and guide you in the way you should go. You just have to listen and follow.

So, choose you this day, God’s plan of salvation or your own plan. Which one will it be? God’s way or your way?

The choice is yours!

And don’t worry, I’ve decided to give up my KATO diet. It wasn’t real nor did it profit me anything anyway!
