Don’t Get Darted!

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked”- Ephesians 6:16, KJV

I remember sitting in church some months ago, listening to my Pastor preach on the whole armor of God. He got to Ephesians 6:16 and told the congregation, “DART!”. That was the signal that the enemy was at work in some way to steal, to kill and to destroy your faith.

The “DART” Button!

As usual, I saw a way to put feet to the “DART” vision! I purchased a blank sound button and recorded myself saying “DART!”, put the word on the button in white letters and the “DART” button was made!

Truthfully, it is a constant reminder that you have to be diligent to put on not only the shield of faith, but the entire armor of God. It’s not a fun feeling to get darted. Getting darted means, you gave in to the wiles of the devil. Basically, you said he won, and you lost that round.

It takes faith to believe you can stay ahead of the enemy and not be ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11, KJV). Even in the practice of journaling your daily experience, it takes faith to believe that writing down the moments you got darted will help you become more aware of the ways the enemy comes against you.

So, muster up all the faith you have and put on the whole armor of God so that you can quench those fiery darts of the wicked! That’s your authority! Don’t get DARTED!
