Defining Chastity
Titus chapter 2 reminds older women to teach younger women many things. One of those things is to be chaste. When you think of the word “chaste”, do you think of purity rings, chastity belts, purity ceremonies and the such?
Of course, the definition of chaste means to remaining pure until marriage and that is what stands out primarily to some. There is another definition to chaste that pretty much sums it all up: pure in thought and act.
It’s so important that our thoughts and our actions reflect the standard of God as it pertains to being chaste. And it is key that the older women teach the younger women what it means to be chaste.
Chastity was the topic of discussion on the last episode of The Titus II Show (click here to watch “Titus II Discussion:What to Teach Younger Women”.
We had a wonderful discussion on what it means to be chaste and you’re invited to join the conversation too!

Thank you for having me as a guest on The Titus II Show. I such a wonderful time and look forward to staying engaged with the Titus II Living Family!
I enjoyed watching the Titus II Show with DR. GNP and Mrs. Rashida and host Joy Ellerbe it was good to see both perspectives a mother of daughters and a son and host put them together in context. Being chaste to me is being pure in mind body and soul. Working on showing my chastity consistently, my attitude is not always pure. Enjoyed the village and not exposing your body to your children, it was great wisdom.
Thank you for sharing, Marqueena. It is necessary to take a look at our own selves to identify the areas we need to work on. That’s the blessing of surrounding ourselves with wise men and women of God as well as staying committed to the word of God. Thanks for sharing and stay Titus II Living!
I enjoyed the discussion on the Titus II show on chastity. I believe what it means to be chase is more than just keeping ourselves holy until marriage. I realize since being born again being chase also means keeping my thoughts pure about others, making sure that my dress attire is a presentation of Holyness, watching my facial expressions. Nonetheless to be chase as a saved Woman of God means that i must always watch how and what i say and do onto others. Its a daily self check as sometimes i still get bothered by an impatient person in the line at the grocery store i wont say what im thinking but i still have the thought from time to time. Therefore I am not walking in the purity of God because he gives grace to everyone and so should I. (So i realize that Chastity is not just purity of my body) yet it is also have pure thought of others, having the right attitude, pleasant responses and facial gestures despite what a person does. Amen I shall get to the place of being completely chase in all areas. I do present to others how to be honest in all things even when I wrong, I have denied my flesh to remain Holy and saved unto God, and I continually self check me daily no matter where I am at because through all of my imperfections I know he will one day make me to become perfect. Amen
Beautiful comment Nairobi! Being chaste is about purity in thought, word and deed. This is why the word of God is so valuable. When it comes to lining us up, the word of God is clear with many verses to check our spirit, our actions, our thoughts and our hearts. I stand with you on your walk of Titus II Living!
Amen I receive it in the name of Jesus!
