Right Place, God’s timing.
Often times, we think that God is separate from our day to day activities. We use words such as, “coincidence” or phrases such as, “right place at the right time” as if to say that God had nothing to do with our feet being in the proper place at the right time. Without thought, we may only consider God in the early morning when we wake up to pray and at night when we pray before going to sleep. The space of time between morning and night, we seem to enjoy the activities of the day without considering every specific place God wants us to be.
But what if we really gave careful consideration to the timing of God? Our steps are indeed ordered by the Lord, right?
A few days ago, I left the house and set out to a particular destination. I made a few stops here and there and eventually arrived at the intended place. When I got out of the car, I was approached with a request for assistance. I obliged and ended up discussing evangelism with this young soul as well as the Born Again Movement, a total movement about getting souls baptized and reconciled to the Lord. This excited babe in Christ wanted to learn more about reading the whole Bible, how to evangelize, and how to use the word of God to draw souls.
We talked for some time and before parting, he thanked me for my assistance but more so for the conversation.
What if I had chosen to stay home or leave the house at a later time? What if I had not parked where I had parked? Even more so, what if I had rejected the request for help?
We have to remember that God orders our steps even if we don’t think so. He wants us to always be at the right place in His perfect timing because He knows the bigger picture while we only know and see in that moment.
Think about those times when you were at the right place in God’s perfect timing verses those times when you know you missed God all the way around.

I was sitting in the apartment I live in and heard spirit say go outside. At first I was like umm it’s hot outside, today is my last day then I heard go. Went outside and this lady who was using a walker needed someone to run her an earran and I was available and I made it for it so she wouldn’ t walk far up a huge hill. Being in God’s perfect time and acknowledging His voice he will lead you to His purpose for His glory sake!! Good encouragement!
Imagine what would have happened if you had not obeyed and gone out to help the woman! Thanks for sharing! Stay in God’s perfect timing!
Thank you for your post, Joy! So glad you were able to be there for the young man! I just love it when God speaks to our hearts to do something and then later it is an opportunity to help a person. There have been times that the Lord has prompted me to do something or go somewhere that I am like thinking, “Okay, Lord, I trust what You are doing.” Over the years, He has worked on me to get me to trust Him more. Just trusting Him to help me find something to do online through his pandemic since losing my job in February has led me to learn how to set up my blogging website with Heather & Pete. It has been very rewarding and I know my life has meaning and matters more as I keep listening to the Lord. God Bless you and your family and i pray you enjoy your Sunday.
Hi Cynthia! Thank you so much for your comment. It is an absolutely blessing to see God at work in our lives when we deliberately trust Him. He has the plan already set. Our steps are already ordered. His purpose and plan are perfect. I celebrate your move to blogging! Trust in God is something we have to work on daily! When God speaks, don’t think, just do! God bless you and your family as well!
Side note: I see your email address, are you a pianist? 🙂
